Objectives: It is the Liberal Arts Department’s mission to enhance DVC community’s awareness of cultural diversity and to encourage students’ active involvement in the on-going formation of a multicultural global community. The public forum will provide a venue for the critical discussion of current world affairs in order that students broaden their vision of global events and trends that shape modern societies. The forum will be embedded with the following institutional outcomes: foundational skill, critical thinking and cultural/social literacy.
Participants:
DVC students enrolled in history courses will be encouraged to participate in the forum.
Students for Diversity Club
All Faculty and Staff members of DVC and community members will be encouraged to participate.

And the competition culminates in a national broadcast featuring student-made videos, inspiring presentations from contest winners, solution-focused discussions, and live Q&As with people who really are changing the world.
